Beyond the Walls
All I want to do is lie in bed. There is a window by my bed and beyond it all I can see are trees and the sky. Sometimes all I need to see are the trees and sky lying in my bed beyond the walls that I sometimes forget to exist.

Lesbian . Reflections of Black Forrest Hamm
Seattle Metal Beast's LESBIAN were in town a few weeks back. They slayed Relax Bar, we had beers, and talked about doing a Video, which would be a rip of of Damon Packard's style with Black Metal Camp from the early 90s. Think IMMORTAL meets REFLECTIONS OF EVIL. Here's the interview.
LM: How did you guys end up naming your band Lesbian and how sexy does it feel to be a metal band with such a name?
LES: we have no idea, whats wrong with being sexy.
LM: What label are you on and how did you end up there and what is the point of playing heavy music?
LES: we got lucky and got on holy mountain..as far as the point of playing heavy music?...to be heavy is to be lost in sonic submersion.you know, like, in a submarine exploring inner space.discovering new worlds and rediscovering old ones...
LM: How have psychedelic drugs influenced you or have they not?
LES: they definitely have...imensly.they are very helpful.and sometimes necessary.we are fungalphiliaxe.
LM: If you could pick one Film from history to represent Lesbian what would it be?
LES: all the films we watch are from the future...spaceballs 2
LM: If you could time travel back in time, where would you go?
LES: fuck the past.we would go back to the future...the machu picchu mother future.

Sarabeth Tucek
Sarabeth Tucek's album is finally out and it's brilliant. Gloomy and heartbreaking and beautiful. I highly suggest getting it. I interviewed Sarabeth a couple years ago on her life and this album, so I am going to repost it. The song "Home" sounds like it traveled from beyond Karen Carpenter's grave.

Here is the interview.
LM: So you’re working on an album with Ethan Johns, how is that going, being that it’s your debut?
ST: the record is going really well. Ethan is great, very inspired and soulful. he has added alot of dimension to the material through various instruments and he's a great player too so i not only have a great producer and engineer but a musician that can exercise his ideas. it is also being co-produced by the wonderful Luther Russell.
LM: “Something for you” is really a beautiful song. How did you and Brian Jonestown Massacre hookup, and is Anton really the lunatic he’s made out to be?
ST: i'm glad you like SOMETHING FOR YOU(SEER). it will be on my record. i have known Anton for a long time and he always really liked that song and asked if he could cover it for the EP. i sing it in DIG right before he kicks that poor guy in the head. is Anton a lunatic? hmmm, well, there is probably enough info out there on him now for anyone to answer that one. recently, i was with a group of people who were talking about him and one person said "Anton's a lunatic" and then someone else said " Anton's a dick" and then, in conclusion, someone said " Anton's a lunadick" so.... i dunno.
LM: If you could build a time machine that could only go back in time before the 20th century, where would you go, and who would you meet?
ST: if i could go back? uh, i wish i could go back and retrieve all the money i've spent on alcohol but before the 20th century, i guess maybe before there were people. perhaps, roaming the earth like a big peaceful platypus. just eating and walking. i'm lazy. i guess i would probably want to meet another nice and lazy herbivore or maybe a carnivore, if i was bored.
